Runt paint study; 24cm x 18cm; oil on cardboard

Last night the cat had a litter. 3 in total. 2 survived. We found this one this morning, its cowl still over its mouth and nostrils. I took it through to the studio. It kept me company through the day. Still company. Humbling.
